A group of 23 lighting devices (bronze, copper, zinc, glass) from the 19th century, were removed from the Longfellow home during renovations. These devices included candelabrum, gas sconces, chandeliers, lanterns, and table lamps; all were cleaned through a variety of means. Most were acrylic coated to protect from corrosion; those which had been converted to electrical use required updated rewiring by an electrician.
