A set of ten large Caproni Brothers plaster casts of the Parthenon frieze were in need of cleaning. After vacuuming up loose debris and dust, dry sponges were used to remove adherent soot and grime. One cast, which was broken into dozens of pieces, was reconstructed through the use of cyclododecane and gauze supports as areas of complete loss were built up with new plaster. All ten casts were airbrushed with acrylic paint; decorative paint techniques were used to simulate a light marble veining. Supervision was provided for the rehanging of the newly restored casts.
