This cast concrete and mosaic sculptural plaza at City College in San Francisco was cleaned of all algal growth; layers of paint applied to cover graffiti were chemically and mechanically removed; underlying graffiti was substantially removed, with remaining ghosts inpainted with mineral paints. Failing repairs to concrete were removed and replaced with a cast mortar patch more compatible in material properties and color.
